Abbott's Moray
(Gymnothorax eurostus)
This species
of moray eel can grow to about 50 cm in length and is one of at
least 5 different species that are seen around Julian Rocks. The
other species include the Green Moray Eel (Gymnothorax prasinus),
the White-eyed Moray (Siderea thyrsoidea),the Sieve-patterned
Moray (Gymnothorax cribroris), the undulated Moray (Gymnothorax
undulatus) and the Peppered Moray (Siderea picta).
