Byron Bay Writers Festival 2009 to be held right next to Planula Retreat
The staff and Committee of the Byron Bay Writers Festival are pleased to reveal that the Festival will run from 7 – 9 August, with workshops beginning 3 August and, for those who were affected by 2008’s deluge, the promised bonus day will take place on 6 August.
We can now reveal the new site for the Byron Bay Writers Festival will be at Belongil Fields. (…) Visitors will be delighted to find us at Belongil Fields, with gorgeous sculpture displays, flags and artwork, and the Festival Marquees ringing with the buzz, laughter, stimulation and inspiration that one associates with one of Australia’s premier literary events. Planning is well under way and we are confident that the program of the Byron Bay Writers Festival 2009 will knock your rainbow socks off.
Huge apologies for the change of date: in order to secure our site in this Festival filled town, it was a necessary move. We hope that you will join us in August next year to celebrate the finest Australian writing in a gorgeous Byron setting.
