Planula Bed and Breakfast Retreat, Byron Bay

Hurray! The first Leopard Shark sighting of the season. Some divers saw it together with a Grey Nurse Shark. A videographers dream, but no footage yet.

Blue Gropers, Sailfin Surgeonfish (Zebrasoma veliferum), moray eels and turtle

Weather

Some rain at the beginning of the week followed by cooler, but mainly sunny weather. NYE was beautiful!

Sea

Choppy but the Bay flattened as the SOutherly came through.

Water temperature

21 – 23°C. Warmer water, finally!

Visibility

Great visibility came with the warmer waters. Monday we had 20 meters, dropped to 15 – 18 meters. By Friday it was 8 – 10 meters.
